READ MY QUOTE: "Looks like a typo on the 9380 as is should be .13 sec. The specs are essentially the same as the 7940/45/50 but sip power and do not slow down as they are heavily loaded. Playing with the sample I got last week, I would hang 10lbs of weight on the highest speed version and it drew only .23A.. the similar 7940 was 2.5A"
It clearly states the newer servos are running at .23A and the current 7940 servos are running at 2.5A. That's around 10X difference!
Here's the thread!

sounds like you need to brush up on your reading skills! My quote had NOTHING to do with savox servos!
ONCE AGAIN, i clearly stated it was a mistake on my quote. I clearly said the servo i was referring to was 361 and .11sec. And there is a such thing as savox ultra torque.
From Amainhobbies:
Savox SC-1268MG "
Ultra Torque" Digital Steel Gear Servo (High Voltage)
[SAV-SC-1268SG]
Once again, i said it was a mistake!
"teeforb: Sorry, going off of memory which isn't a good thing. It was 361 and .11 @ 7.4v."
There is nothing I put that was incorrect that wasn't corrected. I suggest you read more carefully and open your mind up to a non-subjective debate. It's clear that you are Hitec biased, which caused this to be a pointless discussion.
Im being plenty civil, but you continue to keep misquoting specs and are missing entire points.
A. My latest posts clearly are not comparing the soon to be released BL servos from Hitec. They are pointed towards the current Hitec HV servos.
B. I do not go off specs from retailers like Amain Hobbies, I get em direct from the mfg. The Savox 1268 is a "high torque" servo with spec ratings of 347oz./.11(which has been found to have a real world value closer to 190-200oz/.15-.16 at 7.4 volts.)
C. I am not disputing the current Hitec HV servo's current draw. Right around 2-2.5amps is correct regardless if its a 7940,7945,7954 or 7950 thats about what they all draw, in the 2 amp range. The 1268/1267 Savox servos have shown to draw over 5-6 amps of current. So compared to the HV Hitec servos thats 2-3 times more current draw as stated. They use a really cheap coreless motor thats powerhungry.
As for the new lower current draw of the soon to be released Hitec BL servos, I cannot confirm anything yet. But knowing Hitec and their ability to come reasonably close and/or hit their rated specs, I wouldnt doubt that they will be drawing less than an amp of current. Won't know till they are relased though. WHen they are, I will be picking up 3-4 of em.
D. I clearly am Hitec biased because they PERFORM. If they didnt perform as good as they do and there was a better performing durable servo out there for reasonable money, Id be using that instead. I have used Hitec servos for 20 plus years, and they have always met or exceeded my expectations. I only buy the best products. I don't waste money on junk.
