205MOD is default on GT2.0's... That's what you want to go with. Some have used 323 with success..
I use stock 323 with mod and stock so I don't have to download new software, but rather just change the settings at the track. It's mostly cranked up all the way for the 17.5 in the buggy and with a 7.5 mod motor I just dial it way back down. It's not suggested to use 323 for mod in case you forget to dial it back down but it works if you are careful. Set the boost and timing real low for mod and the motor does all the work.
As a sidenote, one time I did forget to lower the settings after putting in the 7.5 and when I pulled full throttle on the 120' back straight I was already half way down the straight. I realized right away that I forgot to change the settings. The car immediately did a back flip and tumbled the last 50' of the straight.
