I run with my gear diff on our high traction surface when it is dry, but after a rainy afternoo, I can tell you that it was a very low traction surface

The car was really usable andhealthy with the diff gear. YOu should have a try, the Asso diff is around 20$... you may use 1000 or 2000 oil on medium traction surface.
