IMO without knowing the exact production reasons the older u brace was lower but still had the height of about 1 spacer so I would think that should be the starting point. I could see even going as far as adding 2 if you sanded it flat to get close to the older style with 1 spacer (This would put you about 1 spacer below flat plastic on a new u brace)?
But I don't know and am just guessing that's why I was asking.
I just installed the C-hubs and ran the middle hole. I didn't have time to play with the setup or even remove the (1) washer that I was running under the inner stud, and it's a step in the right direction. I actually set my personal best time (and I believe a track record) with the change. I'll have more time to play with it next week, and I'll try grinding down the u-brace then. I might actually end up with the rear too locked in.
