I want to be sure I am understanding this correctly - it is OK to leave the batteries on an EQUALIZING tray that will only take them to .9v/cell, not on a DISCHARGING tray (without cutoff) that would take them to 0v/cell - right?

Isn't it bad, very bad for a NiMH cell to be completely discharged to 0v/cell? I thought that was why it is important to be sure a discharger has a cutoff that stops the discharge.

Isn't that the difference in a discharger and equalizer - that a discharger just simulates running the car in race conditions, while an equalizing tray completes the discharge of each cell down to an appropriate voltage?
