Default Hot off the Press!!!

Ok Interested Rally Buffs!!

I have just got off the Phone with Richard Baguely AKA Baggsy (Hope I got his last name right ) From Castle Hill Off Road Club... He has spoken with the Prez and we have their support for a demo race meet next Sunday .. That's Sunday 19 June 2011 if the Weather Gods permit for some fun in the DIRT!

If you have had Track Racing exposure you should already know the expectations if you dont here are some guidelines..!!

1. Having fun is the most important rule of the day!

2. All competitors will run 5 minute heats x the number usually 3-4 and a couple of finals..
Registration cost is $10 Dollars per class so just Rally =10 bucks.. You do not have to be a member!!

3. All Competitors are timed so you either need to bring your personal transponders OR the club has some which can be used on the day on a rotational basis. You can also run un-timed but obviously you wont know where you came or what lap times you are averaging.

4. All competitors are expected to marshal the very next class after their heat .. this means that competitors from the previous heat will marshal or pick up your cars but you are expected to do the same for the following class after yours and so forth.. You generally have a good time slot to repair and service your cars between heats so this is not an issue nor should it be.. just good sportsmanship!

5. The boys at Casso are a great bunch very friendly and always put on a good BBQ and Drinks for a small price..

6. Bring your regular tools parts race bags etc.. a charger a lead and a double addaptor.. Most importantly do not bring everything and leave the car or batteries at home that would be a bummer!

7. Racing starts usually at 10am so please make sure you are at the track and ready to get registered by 9am-9.20am the very latest

8. Baggsy will give us all a drivers meeting to go over the track rules before the racing starts so any newcomers dont panic if you cant remember these points!.

9. Car Rules so far as this is a new class and more a demo than anything else for the first meet is any on road 1/10 EP with rally styled body (actually used in WRC or Local Rally Scenes world wide) 190 to 200mm Bodies. No Modified Buggies or Nitro allowed. Motors between 17.5 and 13.5 is acceptable.. DF03's may use 10.5 given gearing restrictions till we can get these details sorted out more formally.

10. I will post all the addresses times and details repeatedly over the next few days.. if you have friends that may be interested point them to this thread and tell them to keep posted and get cracking..

11. With the best on intentions some good weather and great attitudes towards some fun I hope this will be a great day!

Regards,
Ruben

PS Special thanks to Casso Crew for their support!!!
