70t 48 pitch is a good idea but you need to buy the slipper clutch set or dremmell a slot in the spur gear for the drive pin.Also because the battery goes in from underneath the chassis some cutting was needed to fit the lipos that I had.If you havn't already bought a car the thunder tiger sparrowhawk
is a good alternative as it needs less money spent on it to make it into a rally car.The tamiya kit tyres work ok but the thunder tiger rally tyres are better.
Mind you Im expecting the next batch of kits to come down a tad more so when you offset that against the shocks it should work out well..another advantage is parts can be locally sourced and in the main your looking at sub 10 dollars for most parts etc.. Hope this helps..
