I think most people make a bigger deal out of the mmp than needs to be...
go into it knowing if you don't buy a hitec 985mg or servo known to work you may need to run a bypass or BEC. THe mmp can handle any motor out and is ready for 4 pole sensored to boot.. Again if you have glitching or stuttering and you have a 2s setup jump the a old rx or servo wire from the battery into the rx and disable the onboard BEC (pull the center wire) or run a external bec and don't worry about it. I try to be fair, but i have to be honest the rx8 is a great esc when they don't fail but they are not half as reliable as the mmm if you want 1/8 scale equip. I've run the same two mmm's in my ebuggy and etruggy for 2+ years, meanwhile i've personally seen 10 rx8s bite it, granted all in 1/8 vehicles.
