Why longer rear shocks?
God knows... I guess it has always been the tradition that Serpent rear shocks are longer than the front. All Serpent shocks are compatible with each other. The 1/8th scale Serpent cars use the same springs (except for Veteq) and shocks as the 1/10 scale TCs.
As for the JR receiver, I hope somebody can help you there. I remember someone mentioned it can fit while the other said that you couldn't. I guess depending on the type of receiver that you have.
