It's more driver than car... It always has been. Thats not to say a "real good" car isn't needed. Ignore these 1/8 results and lets visit the 1/10 Electric Buggy (2wd or 4wd) class for a minute. Oh wait, its still Maifield (fastest driver in the world), Tebo (most consistent driver in the world) and Cavalieri (a little of both of the others and somewhere in between). Sure, I haven't listed everyone that is crazy fast and there are plenty of them, but those 3 will be fighting for the win at almost any event, anywhere in the world.
The best are just the best no matter how you look at it. Leave mechanical gremlins out and that buggy race probably could have finished with all 3 within 1-2 sec. of each other... Oh, and nearly 3 laps ahead of the rest of the field.
