You're right on the rear quarter panels, I missed that. Rear quarter panels for 69-70 were the same and 71-73 were the same. I am not sure but I believe they used the same floor pan from 69 to 73. Ford bastardized the Mustang in 1974 with their "Mustang II"(started out as a stretched Pinto) platform. Took them years to get it right after that (the late 70's was bad for muscle cars in general and Pony cars in particular). They didn't even offer a V-8 in 1974 bur soon rectified that mistake in 1975.
