Thanks!. I've done it on nearly every car/crawler I've built. The unimog even holds up in bind situations where the tires are stretching the body.

You can use tin snips to cut hobby metal, then sand down the body posts, then apply the velcro, or use balsa. I couldn't find any more metal so I used balsa.


I stock up on body posts and prefer all my cars look scale.

Edit: White gorilla glue and black gorilla glue (for black backing paint) work great for sealing the velcro or metal to the post for extra srength, but I only found it necessary with my crawler. I can pick it up and swing it around.
