I tried looking thru most of the posts in this thread but with 151 pages its tough to find exactly what your looking for.

I have an sc10 4x4 and have a few concerns;
Why does my truck make a loud high pitched whine under acceleration?
I have a tekin Rx8 Esc and the Tekin SC4X 550 5.5t, 62t spur and 12t pinion and the truck feels like a dog compared to most of the other trucks i see at the track? I used the hotwire to set up brakes and throttle to 100% and the truck seems brutally slow, so slow the owner at my lhs just took my DX3 tx and cranked the epa's to 150!?! I dont know if thats a good idea?

Can the slipper be so loose (mine is at 3.77mm) that im losing alot of power there? is a 12t pinion way to small the car tops out around 25-28 in the street? Is it a bad idea to set the epa's in the tx to 150?

or am i just such a noob I fail? lol
please do not hesitate to rip into me but please rip me with some accurate info please, im tired of looking at such a nice truck go so slow.
