Make sure there is some ARO in the cylinder to start with, then use a heat gun to preheat the block. If its still hard to pull over, loosen the glow plug 1/4r from tight and see if thats enough. As soon as it fires, tighten the plug.

Soon as it gets a little run time, things will loosen up and it won't be such a PIA to crank. That engine has a rep for this. Enjoy...
