It's all about learning man. It has to start somewhere. Neal obviously knows a lot more about engines than most of us do, so doesn't it make sense to ask him? I run at a higher altitude than most guys, and I don't know enough to know which head shims to run... and I'm using a new clutch he recommended, so why wouldn't I ask him about that too? That's kind of called standing behind your products and equals happy customers. As for tuning, if he can help me learn to tune better, that means the engine will last longer, which = A happy customer who will buy again. Just saying.

As an example, at first I had some trouble tuning, then he gave me some tips, and this time out I had no problems tuning it and getting it to run right, by applying what I learned last time. I probably would have figured it out eventually, but he speeded the process along. Teaching is a big part of learning.

And I can say I learned a lot more from Neal after two phone calls than when I self taught myself how to tune my last engine. And I understand how my engine works a lot better too.
