horrible tunning, i was fat everywhere. Talked to him on the phone and he walked me through it. Part of the problem is i hear over and over people posting thier needle settings. Well, i live in south louisiana so you can throw all that out the window, i already know this with tuning every other engine i have owned. my final race setting is almost 2 complete turns in from flush on the lsn and about 3 quarters turn in from flush on the high speed needle. Purs like a kitten now.

It aggravating because once i started going past flush even a turn in from it, i would get worried and overly cautious. It is very hummid and hot down here right now, first real heat of the year. I was only getting about 6-7 min per tank which is a huge red flag. but i was still temping in the 230 range. Turns out i have the classic lean top fat bottom too big idle gap. Which I KNOW better and always tune my needles to the gap for the most part.

Idles great now, much much better run time, and is explosive through the whole power range.

thanks guys.

if you live in louisiana it's a whole different ball game. Unless it's spring or fall you have lean out. If i am running nine percent in my ninja/vspec, my lsn is way in.
