hello Ron,
i just like to say you hit a good thing for the Motors with the B5...
i do Motor testing to find what motors best fit for the Budgets for what racers can "Afford" or looking to spend on a "Motor"
out of 22+ motors i am happy to say your Motors are right there on top!
and what i mean is i know over the years so many Equate if it cost more? then it is the best? not always so....
though "True" sometimes if it is "Inexpensive" sometimes it is "Cheaply Made"
but in this case "Inexpensive" does not mean "Cheap Construction"
and for the Under $250.00 mark we have for Motors that "WORK"
(we had 4 grades,
up to $250.00 ,
$250.00 to $315.00 ,
$315.00 to $375.00
and Stupid Over Priced)
of the $250.00 to $315.00 of the 3 they all surpassed those motors
"Easily" the B5 had the most Grunt of those....
of the $315.00 to $375.00 was "CLOSE" only one came close! and was the Nova .21-4 but still 2 outsurpassed this and even still the B5 had more "Bottom" to Move a truck......
(the Nova had to change pipes/headers for different tracks to get it's best performances the B5 "One Pipe" on the truck for either short or open tracks seemed to have a good "Balance")
and Ironicly???? only one of the 3 motors under $250.00
out-did,out-performed,and had better Mileage than ALL of the "Over-Priced Motors"...????
and the B5 is "One of Them" and to be Unbiased i did not think it could? but it did...........
a pretty tall order !!! keep up the great work !!

(the B5-Pro did not make the $250.00 mark, but it is pretty much the motor now to shoot for,at it's "Price Range" it out-does just about every motor in it's range and those costing $400.00+)
since we found almost "Anything will work in a Buggy" not much on the market in the .21 series "Motors" 90% of other motors you really have to "Stand on the Gas" to get them to Shine that move a "Truggy with Authority" but the B5 in it's "Simplest Discription"
feels more like an "Electric Powerband" with the correct clutch shoes and Gearing......
again only 3 outperformed 99% of the Motors on the market.....i say 99% since there maybe something out there that can for the "Price range" but out of the 22 we have done so far nothihng has really come close?
of the Flood of motors on the Market, like cars
if i "HAD" to pick one?
to recommend to someone that was Un-Modified box stock can buy right off the hobby shop self! have to give it to the B5.....
I run a different motor, but i get Questions all the time?
and what would "I Recommend" for the First motor?
so far the B5 is just one of those "Motors" you dont have to Guess about??
like back in the day?? if you bought a Nova you were good !!
now you just "Do Not Know" and one has to ask themselves?
ok do i buy a 21-4? a Bonito? a overpriced FMS? a Bullett? a VOX?? a Orion??, a O.S.?? how do i Know? you dont? and any "Good Driver" can make a Motor look good!!
i mean for $400.00 motor it better work?? and when they do not?
it's a big drop of coin for something that was meant for a Buggy? and not so much for the Gearing and Grunt of a "Truggy"
to many $400.00+ dollars is allot, to many,in this Economy even still 200.00 is allot, but it's not as bad to know for $199.00 your going to get a motor that "WERKS"

again for a .21 series Motor that is Unmodified and in it's Stock Form
i only found 3 motors out of 22 that worked, and One that really had a feel like a Motor that had a bigger displacment!! a standard B5
