Cool Audio Jack Problem...

Hopefully this is the right place for this If it's not, mod's feel free to move it...

I have an MP3 player thats been having issues lately...It's the audio jack, If I plug it in theres no sound, but if I wiggle it around the sound come thru loud and clear...I know it's not the headphones, I have tried several differant pairs...My question is: if there is something I can do to help solve this problem, I was thinking maybe some type of putty or something that's conductive that I could apply to the jack??? I appreciate any help on this, I would rather not join an Electronics forum for only one question...I really don't want to spend money on an new MP3 player so if I can get this one to hold out a little longer I would apperciate it...

Thank You, Racer53
