I ordered my SC10 4x4 Tuesday of last week from A-main. It showed up here Thursday afternoon. I spent the good part of Friday morning putting it together. I didnt have a drill and have always thought guys that use them are wimps..... but halfway through this build I was wishing I had one. The only issue I had was the antenna tube was missing or I couldn't find it at least. I built it with the stock setup provided by the manual. No leaky shocks, no diff oil changes.

I rushed through the build as fast as I could because I wanted to race it at my local tracks first big 2 day race. So I didn't get to pant the body, I just borrowed an old used body from one of my kids Slash.

The stock setup worked very well at our track. I had the clicker engaged and the thing had massive steering. I think I ended up expo-ing out 30% of the steering with the radio just to make it not so twitchy.

I cant compare it to anything else as this is the first 4wd SCT I have ever driven. But I can say this, out of all my current rigs its the one that brings me the biggest smile and the fastest lap times.

Being low on funds right now I borrowed my sons VXL/Vileneon out of his 2wd Slash geared 93/19 and surprisingly it worked very well in the SC10 4x4.... for me at least. Temps after a hard 10 minute run were in the 165 area.

The Savox SC-1258TG servo was plenty for the SC10 4x4. Ran the truck on a Gens Ace 40c 5000mah battery all weekend and had plenty of juice for even the 10 minute mains.

The truck is very tough and I didn't have one issue with it all weekend other then I kept having to re-tighten the drivers side rear outer camber ball stud and nut.

I would eventually like to get a more respectable esc/motor. But for now the VXL/Vileneon is doing just fine. Enough in fact to power me to a 3rd place win in open 4wd SCT at the Motown Showdown we had just last weekend.

Here is my 3rd place run. I held 2nd for most of the race but started to feel the pressure of a faster driver and made some mistakes and lost 2nd to him.
