You need to learn to setup your car to your driving style. The brand you run makes no difference. When you start comparing durability, car characteristics, etc you are splitting hairs. No car kit on the market will make you a better driver, no matter what people say about "car x likes to be driven hard". Learn to turn the wrenches and what each adjustment will do for you. Read and memorize the Hudy Setup guide. The fastest pros can be fast with any car because they know how to wrench and put in the track time (and they're gifted but that's beside the point).
+1 none of the pros got fast overnight. Being fast takes patience and pratice. And here something to think about. Have you ever seen a real fast driver or even a pro switch cars often. No, their car is like an extension of the body and they know everything about their car. Just my $0.02
