Well my WERKS B6 PRO arrived today, after a short stop at CLOCKWORK RACING ENGINES for some special attention, I also got the werks 2058 pipe to go with the motor, time to get the motor installed into my HOT BODIES BCE D8 BUGGY.
Installed the werks medium clutch system with 4 x 1.0 springs for starters and mounted the motor & pipe into the buggy ready for the break in fun to start, the temps outside where 55f ( cold for melbourne ) so i fitted the competition heater to the motor for 5 minutes and got the motor up to 150f before i started the motor.
I set the idle gap before starting the motor and right out of the box the engine sprung to life and idled perfectly for the first two tanks on the starter box keeping a stable temp around the 175f mark through out the two tanks, I shut the motor down at the half tank mark during both tanks and placed the piston at BDC and allowed the engine to cool before re starting the motor.
I did pull the carby slide a few times during the idle process just to help keep the temps up as its a bit cold and wet to throw it on the ground and start driving it around but I hope the weather is better in the next few days, so far Im really liking the quality of the werks product .... well done to you Ron.
I shot some video and pictures during the above process
