Yup, you're right, that is why F1 cars literally lasts only 1 weekend's race.

High performance parts does not last usually.
If I want the car light then that's the "price" I'll have to pay. I'm not expecting the Ti shafts to allow faster rotation since we know that the shafts are too small in diameter to make a difference to the rotational mass.
Of course, like you said, if Serpent comes out with hollow shafts from Hudy Spring Steel, that would be perfect! Light AND long lasting.
This last statement somehow does not sound right for a business
