I just finished up the install on my 4x4 PE Slash. I did some shakedown runs around the track and am not happy at all with the set up
after abotu 15 mins of running the esc fan kicked on (150F) and the motor temped at 120F. I thought that putting this set up in the slash would let it run cooler. I guess my question is what am I doing wrong or need to change.
Here's the info on everything. Slash 4x4 with center diff 54t spur 13T pinion, MMP esc, Novak Ballistic 550 4.5T running on 2 cell lipo 5000mah/30c The track is outdoor clay small to med. in size, med. traction. I tore the whole truck back down earlier tonight to go through it and redo the diffs, since it's running the 4.5 what wt. diff fluid should I run? What spur pinion would work best? and with the castle link what should I change in the programming in the esc? I really just want to drop the temp in the truck, But still run decent. Thanks in advance for any help guys
