No one (that's fast anyway) runs a .28 in a buggy. Werks is solid, OS is solid, Novas are solid, anything in the $200-500 range will be a solid motor. The more expensive motors tend to come with better materials and have a little better quality control during manufacturing and production. Just like with servos, you get what you pay for in this hobby. I've run a D8, MBX6, and now the MP9, and while all three have strengths/weaknesses, the MP9 is a cut above the other two.
