I doubt the M05. The main front chassis pieces need to be retooled to fit the rectangular packs. Moulds are expensive. I'm sure Tamiya wants to recover the initial cost plus make a good profit before redesigning anything. I'd like to run those packs also so I can consolidate.
We most likely see the change in the M07 in ten years unless the batteries change.
