I've seen that in the past, and had it happen in the past, I believe that there may already be a fracture in the piece at that point though. If you do see a fracture in a graphite piece, the good news is CA will bond very strong if you cant get a replacement right on there. I cracked a chassis right by the motor, used CA to seam it back and there is no way to tell it was ever cracked.
