I've got the Tekno V4 chassis on my RC8 and am looking for some batteries. I don't plan on racing, but would like the option. Ideally I'd be running the Gens Ace 4s 40c batteries, 5000mah, except I can't get my hands on them. With that said, I have a couple questions:
I'm running a Castle 1800kv motor with a mamba Max Pro ESC. 17t pinion and stock spur (converted from nitro, not sure the tooth count).
For bashing, how concerned do I have to be about my "C" rating? Will a 4s 20-30c battery be fine, or will it be asking for too much out of the pack?
Mah: Currently I mess around with a 20C 3s, 4000mah battery. I don't run it hard because the battery will get warm, puff and all that good stuff, so I can't really judge what kind of run time I'd get. If running a similar setup, what kind of run times are you getting out of how many mah's? Or, do I NEED a 5000mah to be happy? I'd be happy with 15 min run times.
