The locknut in the spool is a weak point but i have installed one from a B4 and this is much better quality (i believe the B4 one is steel).
The rod ends for the Steering and Camber links are designed to be tight.
Just install them on the ball them grab them with some pliers to free them up. This way you will acheive the amount of free-ness you desire with out having a ball cup that is slack and free enough to fall off with a knock.
Hard to tweak ? ? Please can you explain what you mean by this .
Sure if you take some pictures of the CVD that has a miss-aligned hole in and forward them to Ae they will replace this.
