It will depend on which size gel cell you buy. I use the blue Ofna box and a Yuasa YTX12 motorcycle battery in it, which will not fit in the Mugen box. A YTX9 might, you'll have to take some measurements and check it.

about the gel cell that I already have, it doesnt fit inside the mugen box unlike in associated box where it can fit inside.
