This is close to correct. The specifications state that the VTX10 has a motor limit of 540/6.5t. The VTX10R has a specification of 550/ no limit. The 10R is the esc that would fit your power requirements. Trying to use a VTX10 with a 550 might void the warranty

Pretty sure no motor limit means unlimited...? Kinda confused as to how I was "close to correct"

"close to correct'', you had the vtx10r motor limit correct. However you stated that the motor limit on the vtx10 is 5.5t when in fact it is 6.5t. As for the no motor limit/unlimited thing, I only typed what is printed in the manual. No need to get stuck on words. This is the BEST E.S.C. I have ever used. period.
