nothing against the encore shock, but 2 years between rebuilds is hard to improve. the jrx shocks were very nice hardware.
There is only the one necessary trick about sanding the flashing from the edges of the Losi piston while it is spinning in a Dremel. Before I did that, my original JRX-S shock was a loser. The Encore shock is a great build without doing such nonsense.
And 30 wt oil is a winner for either shock. Carpet or asphalt...no matter.
