A lot of our team guys run byrons with great success, and dont get that kind of deposits... but this isnt a fuel thread.

Anyways, this is my prototype GXII after 3 gallons. For the record, this is using VP powermaster 30%. I've literally abused this thing post break-in. This motor has been run fat, VERY lean (both on accident due to a pressure line split, and on purpose). I've run it anywhere between 160 and 290 degrees fahrenheit. I believe I had it over 300 on one occasion, but didnt temp it until it had a few mins to cool.

Anyways, the proof is in the pudding:

UNCOATED prototype crank. Production has black coated counterweight.


New, HARDER piston


NO play in conrod after 3 gallons
