It's older than 1975 and has a blower, but I don't know if it fits the rules, or if a different body is going to make me more competitive.

Also, where is a good place to start with gearing? I will be running an SS or Ballistic 10.5.

Hey..

That body is legal, but it's a think bulky t-maxx body someone made into a drag car. You would be better off with a drag specific body for the car. RC Car Kings has a ton in stock. I would also switch to o-ring front wheels. Other then that, you have a winner. Gearing would be spur between 87 and 93, pinion 30-33. Depends on tire diameter and motor/esc combo.

Also check out www.rcdrags.com the message boards there are more drag specific and will have all the track updates/results.
