I'm sure it would be but at the end of the day it is what it is which is a complete rip off of an engine that was designed and made by OS. With you being in the industry and having worked hard to develop your own dyno and in a sense legitimize the product that you have made in the mags as well as the service that you offer I'm a little surprised and I think disappointed that you would want to associate your self and your company name with a company that operates in that manner. WOW.... Please don't put a twist on this like i am doing something wrong by simply testing an engine. From reading your post it seems to me that your coming off very rude and trying to discredit me for wanting to test an engine?? Now THAT is disappointing to me that you would come at me in such a manner and insinuate that im doing something wrong by simply doing my job. My job is to test engines and modify them to perform better for the public. So honestly i don't see how me testing this engine as i do ALL engines of ALL brands wrong in anyway. It's no new thing that engine companys loosely copy or try and improve on each others designs all the time. Do you not think the JX .21 is not VERY similar to the OS Speed? Although made by OS and labeled as a Mugen engine its still a VERY similar engine design and a very good one at that! I didn't see you attacking me when i was testing those engines when they hit the market.... And that is just one example as there are many engines that are just like the JX is to the OS speed. The RC engine world is no different then say the gun world for example. People copied off what Glock did 20+ years ago and are still improving on the design to this day and doing it with great success! Same with the Mauser K98 most all your bolt action rifles are made/based off that platform.
I don't own a engine company, i modify engines for the public of ALL brands. I will modify and test any engine on the market and i will be honest as to what i PERSONALLY think about them from my R&D. I'm not loyal to one specific brand of engine or biased in anyway shape or form as that's not my job or what i do in this industry. So please do not insinuate that im doing something wrong and discredit me for simply wanting to test an engine that is hitting the market. As in reality that's all there is to it, im just testing another engine thats hitting the market... nothing more, nothing less. I do not see this the way that you are taking it it seems.... and im honestly and sincerely very sorry you feel/took it this way.
