The steering on my E-Maxx was terrible. It would really only turn the wheels while moving. I changed out the steering assembly with one from New Era Models with ball bearings and put in a Scanner RC SSV-9864MG Ultra Torque digital metal gear servo. Here is a little video clip of my truck with the new steering goodies installed.
