I have also tried rubber on my car. I have to admit depending on the type of track surface I found rubber to work better sometimes. I prefer foam when our local track has traction. On dusty low bite surface I found that HPI has a treaded tire that is really soft. I believe it is there pro compund. The tire has show me it can not only hook up, but it will last as well. I am also using HPI blue inserts on Yokomo BBS type wheel. M2C.
