i still cant find out what was wrong with the 1.0 diff cases?.....i bough my truck used almost 1 year ago to the date and have completely changed everything except...Diffs and cases(with alluminum bearing inserts)and brake disks, rear 1.0 shocks went upfront,side gaurds and wheel hex's.....everything else is 2.0....but i have been running the same ring and pinion since i bought it...when i clean and refill the diffs i clean and regrease the r&p...no shims on the pinion...i was hearing the chrunch under braking, and was told it was my r&p and to change them...well i cleaned the rear and looked at the r&p and they are still perfect, hardly any wear at all...im not making this up...i will take my truck apart again and show you pics....the crunching, i am hearing is coming from the center diff...i think its the old brake disks( original 1.0)...i dont run lots of brake, so the slightly ovalized disks are just making noise as they are put under pressure.... its not loud.
