Short Course Truck help with stock motor choice....?????
Here we go ....
I pulled my 17.5 Tekin a few weeks ago to put it in my stock 2wd buggy.
I put my Losi XXX-SCT back with the stock electronics. My track is small and the boosted brushless in the trucks is not a whole lot faster, just a lot smoother.
Anyway, the brushed motor fried last week.
Here are my options.....
I only have a Novak GTB ESC for brushless.
I have a Novak 13.5 SS motor that is good speed for Mod class.
I would have to buy new tires ($45.00)
We usually only have one heat for mod SCT (last week was none)
Or
I can pick up a 17.5 motor and stay in stock. ($85)
We always have two or three heats of stock.
If stock 17.5, which one is good with a non-boosted ESC????
I want to stay brushless from now on????
The tekin 17.5/RS combo was good speed and torque for me.
Is there any motor that will be comparable with the GTB ESC?
