Pack the center diff with silly putty. No, I'm not kidding. I've heard of rc rock crawlers using this.

Pack it tight so it gets between the center gears and locks everything. The nice part of using silly putty, it is a non permanent mod. The silly putty can be cleaned out and the diff returned to normal operation.
