Hey Flanno - just got back from our 3 day North Island champs. Unfortunately the finals got washed out, so results went on qualifying.
MG66 2nd in buggy, GXII-5RHO 3rd in buggy.
Great result for the new GXII, as we only got it last Tuesday. NZ team driver Craig Underwood managed to get 9 tanks through it by the time we headed off at 4.30am on Friday morning. Did another tank on Friday afternoon (as the morning practice time was rained out, so he went into qualifying on Saturday with a very tight new motor

. Won one of the heats and ended up qualifying 3rd not very far at all off TQ pace. Then the heavens opened up on Sunday just before the 1/4 finals started and the event was called.
Craig was very impressed with the linear power of the GXII, and how much stonk it had for a motor with only around 1.5 litres through when he started racing it. By the last heat it was starting to come to life, and sounded and looked nasty

A few other drivers had a quick drive around the pits, and that plus closely watching how the motor performed during qualifying had them placing their orders

. So despite the weather it was a very successful weekend for us, with GO and MG motors making up 50% of the field over both classes.
