My opinion is that currently the coreless servos offer more for the money, and provide the torque and speed most surface users are looking for. Brushless are supposed to be more efficient, and less susceptible to damage from vibration and wear. But I find that debatable currently. I think brushless servos are great for heli tail rotors because they do not generate as much heat and they can handle the constant input from the giro. The demands on an RC car are high as far as torque and speed are concerned, but the benefits of brushless are lost in that the signal demands aren't as frequent. I, too, suggest the Savox brand servos. I just purchased one for my B44 and LOVE it. They are VERY powerful, superfast, and inexpensive compared to others. Sanwa/Airtronics makes great servos but I've always found them price-prohibitive. That's my 2 cents +.
