Try hobbywing ezrun or xerun series. 80amp combo is good enough!

Hobbyking warranty sucks!

I am extremely happy with my VXL in my slash 4x4 and Rustler but would like to be able to run one of my 8th scale rigs during the winter. I just can't bring myself to risk one of my MMM ESC's in the snow, and I just don't trust the corrosion X and similar methods with an expensive ESC.

I tried the plasti-dip method on an old BK warrior that came in one of my rigs, and it burned up shortly after, but I think that may have been caused my me not catching the BEC limit with 4S lipo for that particular controller.

So, long story short I am in the market for an ESC that can handle 4S to 6S (but I can live with 4S) and is either water resistant out of the box, or cheap enough that I won't lose sleep over trying a water proofing method out. I would also like it to be fairly dependable so that if it does go up in smoke I'm less likely to wonder if it was a failed snow proofing.

I just stumbled across this: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s...dProduct=14635 I have used Turnigy's 18th scale ESCs before and prefer them over the mamba for that scale, so I am tempted by it.

Thoughts, ponderings and / or recommendations?

Sorry for the long post!
