I share the exact same opinion that you do. There's just not much surface area there to really dissipate that much heat. The heat sink is right there next to the posts...if the RX8 needs more heat dissipation capacity, you'd think they'd just make the heat sink a little larger. A smooth metal surface (like the posts) aren't going to dissipate much heat, it seems.

There is a post here that discusses that. Randy gave some opinions, and IIRC, he said anything under 180F is fine. Some people will even run 190F or so, but I think 180F if the "usual" upper limit.
