Dont bash on traxxas. Many of us started with Traxxas. AND they have done a huge favor to the expansion of this hobby over the last 3 years with the SC trucks, and promoting the TORC series.
Traxxas is not a RACE level RC and dont make or claim to make racers - REVO was just a bouns. NEITHER IS REDCAT.
Hell How many places and even order REDCAT parts.
durrtyredcat - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH - you just put REDCAT on par with Traxxas.
Yes I had one of these stupid things. Now my son drives a RC8. Guess what. The RC8 with the upgrades didnt cost what I spent on parts for a REDCAT and the hassle it took to get those parts.
AND WHO RACES 10TH NITOR BUGGIES - so whats this about on a track?
Well Its actually a Backyard track only 100ft by 50ft that Im building. Im not trying to set up a Competition style track, even though that would be nice, Im just trying to build something that be fun for bashers and something to get the Kiddos interested in something besides riding the roads and getting drunk. I live in a "Redneck" area and know that they like the fact that " a little car has a motor" and that will real them in Plus i live right next to a place where they host Demo Derbys so I plan to pull some Intrest from those events.
How expensive is the RC8? Oh and I have to order all parts for redcat online, lol. the nearest shop which is in longview tx is over an hour away and would cost more in gas than shipping and also they dont carry redcat, Only the "Big Brands" but they are way overpirced, I think.
They only reason I chose the 1/10 scale was cause of price, I really had no clue of what the "norm" was.
Thanks for your input, I am learning more everyday about the view racers have on the vehicles and that will help me if ever I want to open a local hobby shop, which is the ultimate plan.
