If the distance between the windings of the new springs is even getting bigger and you want to keep the spring rate the same you need to reduce the wire diameter.
The old springs have a more liniear feel.
The new ones will feel more progressive.
Hi there - thanks for taking a shot at it. The first part, I get. that's basic helicoidal spring theory
Can you please explain why thicker wire, less coils (thatās the word i was looking for!) ones will be more progressive and not simple F=kx?
