Today, I went to coral sprigs and i ran my serpent. for the first time I in my 2 months of trying to race this car I can say that I had it under control. I think my driving is getting much much better and I am actually applying the information i learn here regarding setup and driving and it works !!
Rather than making risky passes, i waited for the cars infornt of me to make mistakes, I just rode their tails, it was fun to see them get nervous.
Also, I installed the pin into the fron one way to make it a spool (more like hammer the pins into position). I found that the car had better steering in the infield in a pretty tight track and I liked the brakes althouht i didnt use them much !! ( I guess I am used to the one way, which acostumes the driver to be smooth). However i found that under alot of speed ie end of the straightway it make it hard to turn / takes away steering.
in other words:
in low speed tight infield the spool gave me more steering...
I ran the car with the setup from the book for the most part. I just moved the shock towers to hole #2 to make it the front end a little stiffer and also 45 deg on the front anti roll bar to plant the rear a little going into turns.
I hope you guys had as much fun as I did.. oh and BTW no broken parts !!

I love my serpent, I just need to work on the clutch... (I helped a friend setup his MTX3 and that clutch kicks butt..)
