What I did was tin both the wires and the tabs a little bit, then put the remaining required amount of solder on the tip. Then hold the wire against the tab and let the solder on your tip touch the wire and should flow onto the tab.
This is what I have always done, but it didn't work with the SP. It seems the heat was all drawn away from the tabs through the Alloy Case, which made the solder quickly solidify.
It is done now though, so all is sweet
Just waiting on a 21.5 motor to arrive.
