Just to be clear, that battery would be fantastic to run to power the esc/receiver/servo, however to power the motor you will want to use a 3.7 lipo designed for use in 12th.
wrong, the battery will work very well in a 12th car. Maybe the runntime is a bit short with a 1800mAh pack. You better go with 2000-2500mAh.
A 2S A123 LiFe pack (2300mAh) works also, but needs more room.
