I have a 4 cell lipo on my starter box. The pack is rated for 20C and 300mah and really that is plenty cause the motors are run for no more than 15 seconds per bump..I have used a 12V gel cell befoe but the Lipo is way better...Higher speed and all that current means more torque to turn those tight engines.
