Nice link. That 7150-T7751 is impressive. I originally had my brake caliper brackets made out of 7075-T6 aluminum, and the plan was to anodize them; however after doing some research on cracking and corrosion issues with 7075 (plus the coolant my machinist used reacted with the 7075), I switched to 6061 and increased the cross sectional area of the brackets to ensure adequate strength & fatigue resistance. The 7075 plate was pretty expensive. I can't imagine what 7150 would have cost, but I would have been interested in seeing if making brackets out of 7150 would have been possible.
